Polyvinyl butyral film (PVB)

Polyvinyl butyral is a resin mostly used for agglutination of materials that require strong binding, has optical transparency, adhesion to many surfaces, durability and flexibility. "Plastmodern" develops technological process of production of unique polyvinyl butyral film (PVB) that is used for production of safety glass "TRIPLEX". Safety glass is applied in transport industry (car windshield, rail rolling stock, airplanes, ships etc) and architecture (windows and facades of houses). It contains the internal layer of PVB film that connects the glass panels. The process of agglutination requires certain temperature and pressure. Under such conditions PVB film becomes optically transparent and connects two glass sheets. Laminated glass becomes monolithic after triplexation.

In practice the interlayer provides such useful properties of safety glass:

1) high impact-resistant glass;

2) glass does not break into pieces and remains within the construction when broken;

3) triplex is characterized by high indexes of noise- and heat-insulation and also by selective permeability of light waves (laminated glass blocks almost all ultraviolet rays).

To date our company offers such kinds of polyvinyl butyral film (PVB) :

Car and architectural film of own production (width up to 1630 mm and thickness 0.20 - 1,56 mm), including transparent and tinted in accordance with the Ukrainian Technical conditions 16401787.003-99.

In comparison with other producers we offer such advantages:

While working with our customers we practice individual approach: we can change properties of the offered film taking into account the requirements, specificity and conditions of production. Only our offered film is always of high quality and has a reasonable price because it is produced with help of special manufacturing techniques. Thorough inspection of the offered film during technological cycle almost rules out the possibility of manufacturing defect at conveyer production.
